ive decided to get the exterior looking the way i want it now. As my car is black this has eliminated the need to colour code anything saving me a bit of cash. TBH i like the look of the gti out the box so im not going too do much.
here is my list below
1) ed30 / R32 rear lights - Where is the best place to buy these the dealers want well over £200 ?? Awesone £165 so far ?
2) ed30 front vallance colour coded. - Bought
3) smoked side indicators - Who makes the best ones ? are they easy to fit ? where can i get them ?
4) Stubby ariel - Which OEM ariel is a direct fit ?
5) Monza 2s - Bought
6) rabbit rear badge
7) Red GTI front badge - I cant find these anywhere. Anyone know where to buy them ??
Thats about it subtle, yet noticable to the trained eye, the drop will help it too :happy2:
I think the car looks pretty good standard, everyone on here seems to think so too due to the lack of add ons on the members cars.

awesome gti had them for sale last time I looked. Changing them is a pain in the backside since you have to remove the housing and the mirror itself too. There's a guide somewhere.
4) Stubby ariel - Which OEM ariel is a direct fit ?
I bought a citroen one but others have bought sharan ones.
7) Red GTI front badge - I cant find these anywhere. Anyone know where to buy them ??
From an american website (tmtuning or oempl.us)
-
Inpro makes smoked side indicators
-
I just bought a red with silver outer 'GTI' set of stick on batteries off e bay for about £3 the other day, not completely red if that helps,
-
got link for that please big al?

The only problem with these and nearly all copies is they fade quite fast. Saying that you can buy 5 or 6 of these for the cost of a proper one. :booty:
Piccie of mine. :happy2: I love the look of the Anni badge against the white. :star:

Not sure if there is any fitting instructions online i haven't looked,
All i did was pull the plastic mirror cover off (the painted part)
Remove the mirror glass by easing out with the clips that hold it on, remove the connections to the mirror glass
Two very small torx screws to remove which hold the indicator on, once they are out pull gently on indicator and it will come away from the mirror housing etc remove the small wiring block and put the new indicator on!
Make sure to plug wiring block in on new indicator and ensure that you put the connectors to the mirror glass on the correct pin which they came off.

Is it possible to buy a OEM front red GTI badge for the gti, or does it need to be a replica.
Cheers for the link matsu :happy2:

This is the only place that does the originals, the badge comes off a Mk 4 anni but they adapt them onto the Mk 5 plinth.

Awe right i take it that it is the same rear badge as they sell on awesome GTI. Just buy a new front GTI badge and then a genuine rabbit rear, chuck away the rabbit and remove the chrome badge from the front of the mounting and fit the red GTI badge
Thanks mate :happy2:
-
scirocco / mk6 airels look cool, need to drop the back of the headcloth to get it in tho, bit tricker than a stubby
