have a mk5 wheel dsg. looking for some paddle extensions, what are my options? seen some on here but they look really modern and abit too modern for the mk5 wheel imo.
pics welcome !

I'm very happy with my carbon look ones and think they suit the car really well. You can see them on my build thread. I got then from @Mandy (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1310)

Have carbon ones on mine and think they both look good and are a very user friendly, sensible addition. Mine were on the car when I bought it, brushed aluminium ones I think may compliment the interior slightly better but I haven't got round to changing them -yet. Definitely not too modern for the mk5, do it!

They are pretty expensive though, even for the plastic ones. Why so much money for a bit of cast plastic? :indifferent:
Was going to get some but refuse to pay around £20 for something which probably cost 50p to make in China.

i got fed up with mine.. they kept unsticking and falling off :angry015:

I tried the metal one's but didn't like them specially on cold days.
These were in the gloves box when i got the car so stuck them on. not bad but am not 100% satisfied.

I'm abit like a few of you. Still undecided!

These were on the car when I bought it. Plastic with a brushed alluminium insert so you don't get cold hands with them. Think there about £15 in eBay and Amazon. Also come in black

I got some Aluminium ones off Mandy on this forum, and I think they're great!

Think I might try these :) see what they look like. Any pics of them fitted mate? Think there is one in that thread you linked but doesn't seem to work anymore. Cheers

Not particularly good ones, but this is the best I could find on my phone...

I'm happy with them. Nice brushed aluminium, look good and stick on securely. It's nicer changing gears with these extensions on too.

I went for the S2T replacement paddles which replace the top of the switch with billet machined aluminium - there is no longer any + or - lighting now but I really like the feel and weight of them. They are cold in the winter though and cost more than the stick on versions. For a picture see the last post on this link http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,69555.75.html

They look decent but I just looked them up and seen the price :surprised:

Yeah, they ain't cheap but I didn't get them new so didn't cost so much. They are a really well made bit of kit and feel lovely to use. TBF they are worth the retail price when you think what they are - cnc machined billet alloy but I wouldn't have bought them new :happy2:
