Title: How to connect an auxiliary device
Post by: Gusto on March 05, 2016, 08:58:06 pm
Hi, I'm a new member, my first post so please be gentle!  I have just bought an 07 GTI, 56k, 2 owners, FSH - very pleased with it.  However I'm trying to figure out a way of playing music from an iPhone/iPod.  There is no 'aux' plug in in the glove box abd can't see one anywhere else.  Does anyone have a cunning way round this issue, or are my daughters just gonna have to put up with my old Brian Adams cds!
I'll appreciate any ideas

+1.
I fitted one of these & it works fine & reliably - will only work you don't have 6 CD changer fitted as this goes into the same socket on head-unit.

That's correct flyingscotsman we can't have both which is a shame.
I have one of these sitting in my cupboard when I removed it to plug the 6 disc auto-changer back in.

Hi, Thanks for the replies (and the welcome  :happy2:)
I do have the 6 x cd changer under the arm rest, so ready this, I can swap, but can't have both. Thanks for the quick and useful response.
