Title: Wheel Refurbishing in London?
Post by: galaxie500 on April 03, 2016, 10:18:24 am
Hi guys
Anyone have a good experience with a wheel refurbishing company in or close to S London please? I don't have any spare rims so I guess I'll have to leave the car with them while the job is done. Recommendations please!
Many thanks
PR

I've used Prmeir wheel repairs in the past but they are in redhill. not quite south London. They powder coated my Zender Turbos on my mk2. Was very pleased with the end result!

+1 for Premier: http://www.premierwheelrepairs.com/ (http://www.premierwheelrepairs.com/)

It's been a while but I'm still really pleased with their work: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,42652.msg497139.html#msg497139 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,42652.msg497139.html#msg497139)

That finish looks really good. Better than I was expecting when I was reading through your post before the photo popped up.

I've had my Pescaras refurbed!
Had a tip off from a trade buddy about a place in NW London, West Hampstead to be precise.

http://www.fawheels.co.uk

Went to their yard, had my wheels off and a loaner set on in 20 minutes but very careful with my spacers and wheel nuts and I had a wide choice of finish and colour to choose from. I watched the guy Jacob test my rims for trueness and all were good. The turnaround time was 3 days and I'm very happy with the results. Pics to follow.
Thanks for everyone's advise - this place happens to be on my way over to my folks and having spare rims was the clincher.
