Title: Glovebox installation query and removing white marker paint from trim
Post by: Bearings on June 13, 2016, 12:49:01 pm
Replaced my glove box over the weekend for one without the factory Bury phone kit that gets screwed in. Now looks much cleaner than having a lump of plastic at the corner of my vision

Does anyone have any tips on how to hook up the AC hose to the back of the glovebox - there is very little slack there at all, even when the glovebox is almost in position. If I remove the stereo, could I reach down and connect it this way? Is there room to do that?

Also - any tips on how to remove marker paint from the glovebox as it now proudly proclaims it's a 'Golf MkV' on the glovebox door  - it looks like white marker / paint pens they use to write on windscreens in dealerships!
