HI GUYS IVE RECENTLY SOUNDPROOF MY MK5 GOLD TDI SE BUT SINCE THEN THEN DOOR HANDLE INSIDE THE PASSANGER DOOR WONT OPEN IT YET THE OUTSIDE ONE WORKS FINE, NOW I EVEN PUT A BIT OF TAPE ON THE CABLE TO MAKE SURE IT DONT POP OFF WHEN REPLACING CARD BUT STILL NO LUCK. IT ALL WORKED FINE BEFORE THE SOUNDPROOFING AND NOTHING IS STOPPING THE CABLE FROM WORKING BECAUSE OF THE S/P ANY IDEAS PLEASE :thinking:
sorted it was me i had forgot to put the black plastic clip near the hook into a runner on the card noticed it in a u tube video went straight to car and it sorted it out. but thanks to you all for replys

Have you inadvertently put the childlock on?

With the door open, look on the exposed edge of the door, where the lock is, and you should see a little turnable switch with a lock symbol on it. Make sure it is turned clockwise I think! Other than that, you may have altered the setting directly on the lock module itself but I'm not sure what that switch is actually connected to!

Sorry, I assumed it was the rear door. I think you're right that the childlocks are only on rears. I'm sure someone else will be along with some good advice!
