Hi, have got all the components for my boot pop mod but have just realised the button on the fob does not actually release the catch only unlocks.
I had read before about needing to recode to get the latch to release off the button, can anyone help me with an accurate sequence of operations the VW shop has to do to acheive this ?
Regrettably they are not very adventurous over here in Crete, they cannot understand anyone wanting to do anything to their car especially if it costs money.
I had them fit a cruise control for me and it took them 2 hrs to get the system to recognise it had been fitted ?
Thanks in advance
Steve

Dealers use a different system so I highly doubt anyone can provide a step by step.
If you can obtain access to VCDS it's a simple 2 minute job. Might be worth buying yourself if the dealers are that useless. Genuine is around £270, clones can be had for the £20-30 mark

Thanks Dan for you input, would you or anyone know where they start looking or any clue how they identify the element that needs changing ?
I suspect it's no going to say click here for the ' boot pop mod ' so any basic guidance will give me a fighting chance !
As for me getting the bit of kit ... I think not ! ... Judging by what's been copied on to here from the read out its all double Dutch to me, the car would never run again !
Thanks again Steve
