I would always be a bit wary of buying one with such low mileage, I viewed a supposed Immacualte 29K Mile ED30 earlier this Year and although the mileage checked out and the car had been serviced every 10K as per the recommended mileage interval it had been serviced only about 3 Times in its 8 Year life!

IMO it should have had a service every Year regardless of mileage!

It also had some very poor paint repairs in various places.

I would rather buy a car with 40-50K Miles that is original and has been used regularly, Also that has been maintained properly!

Good spot, No Red Stitiching! Wrong Headlamps too.

I would be walking away at this point.

A man i know has a Mk2 Escort RS2000 he has had from new. It has about 20000 miles on it. He has several other cars. He has refused a £50k offer for it. This would be a reason to get a low mileage ED30, my ED30 sold two years ago on 23000 is with a collector and sorn. We shall see what happens. I think the ED30 will be very sought after in the future.

Fair point,

Who knows, I guess numbers will dwindle in the future and it would be nice if some have been preserved in a similar way to Mk1s.

If that's the 5 door golf from Kings Lynn Volkwagen, I'm the now owner of it  :happy2: , 1 owner (2 but last one had it for 10 days), all mots and all full 10 service record history just to let you know, also removed the awful headlight covers  :P and it is being driven

Not that its any of my business but...I'm with garrardrj on this car!
This Eddy might become our heritage?
Just get those little jobs sorted and store it, between shows!

There are plenty of cheaper high mileage Ed's to modify and thrash about in...like mine for instance  :signLOL:
