I don't plan on selling her just yet but just thinking towards the future and wondering if it would be worth more putting her back to standard and selling aftermarket parts?
The car would probably be at 70k when i sell.

Well I'll certainly never be buying a s/hand car again after all the bodges I've found on my ED30, so yes, I would 100% put it back to standard!! People will pay more for a standard low miler.
And be the better person when it comes to selling up and be honest about any nasty surprises the new owner could potentially find further down the line

standard car is always more desirable..im debating even colour coordinating my own car as I'd like to keep it long term.. and maybe sell when value goes up

Ok thanks i've got all the standard parts to be put back on although might keep the s3 IC on there.
Honestly mate its only on 37k and is immaculate. I bought a really good example even underneath the car is immaculate (not too sure how). The only thing that is bugging me is the stone chips and crap touch up job on the bonnet!

Yeah keep the S3 cooler on there as it's an OEM upgrade, and not a cheap cut and shut wellington boot cooler :happy2: That kind of thing helps out a new owner, and even super fussy originality freaks probably wouldn't mind that.
37K! Wow. Personally I would get rid of it now for a good price, and then buy a high miler you can muck about with. Transfer all the mods over to it
That's ideal for me. A car I can rag around and not worry about leaving in Supermarkets or putting miles onto it, but is still clean enough to polish up into a beaut if/when I can be bothered!

Yeah I see where your coming from but I love having an immaculate car and I only drive her at weekends so the mileage will stay relatively low. I know i'd be gutted selling it.

You never get more money for a modded car anyway so yeah it makes sense to take all the parts off and sell them separately to recoup some of your money.

Funny that im the same sort of boat. Not as low miles as you but not bad for the age 86k. Overall car is in great shape doesnt burn oil no smoke and pulls well. The exhaust is starting to fall apart tho as being the only rusty mild steel part from new and cambelt and water pump also getting done. My way of looking at it is unless you mod stupidly i cant see how putting a decent resonated after market exhaust could put somebody off in the future. What are you wanting to mod ?
