Hi, going to look at some genuine Xenons to retro fit into my 08 Edition 30. Can anyone link me into or tell me what I need to get from donor car. Will I need the kufatec loom adaptors to fit from my standard loom to the Xenons?
Thanks in advance

Kufatec 10-12pin adapters that's all. And code with vcds.

Cheers Razi, do I need anything else from the car at all? What's the score with washer jets and all that guff as the donor car is same colour as mine and bumper has jets etc I think

You'll need alot more than just the adapter cable from kufatec.. Well not to make it work, but to make it legal?
Auto level adjustment motor and light washer system.
Atleast that's some you must have in Denmark before xenon is road legal.

Bit ofa grey area when it comes to washer jets. Some say if you retrofit them then they should be there, some say they only need to be there if came from factory.
They are self levelling when fit from factory, if you want that to work then you're looking at some additional work. I know you need some sensors and wire them all up but most people just fit the xenons, wire up with adapters and run the shutter wires to cecm. Code em up and done. And just manually adjust the beam using the allen screws on the headlights

You do not need to fit the levellers as the car has "sport" suspension which is enough to keep it from bouncing around, or so I'm told. If you do fit them, then they must work but I've no idea how an MOT test can check them.
Where do you live? Different MOT requirements for Mainland UK vs Northern Ireland on washer jets.
Mainland: if fitted, they must work.
Mainland: if not fitted, then pass.
Northern Ireland: MUST have at least some water hitting them. For me, I have put a T pipe in my windscreen washers and run 2 pipes to each headlight. They each get a tear of water on them (as there's no pressure really) but that's enough to pass! Or just fit actual washers. Up to you.
Some people don't run the shutter wire to the CECM, but really, it's very easy to do and means when you use full beam on a country road, it doesn't block the xenon light to just a dipped beam any more but instead lights the road/hedges up immensely. I didn't do the cable for 6 months but when I did, I was cursing myself for not doing it sooner!

Eddie NL fitted mine. Cant fault him or the install. Still working perfectly.

With regards the levellers, is there a plug on the main loom to connect the levelling motors to? I'm going to look at the donor car tmoro and want to make sure I get all the bits to make the install a proper job with all correct working washers, levelling motors etc
Many thanks
Wayne
