Title: Oil Question

Hey guys sorry for asking this as i'm sure it has most likely been discussed 4736486 times but i am just after some advice about which oil to get. Me and oil have never really got on so well  :ashamed: On the way home tonight my oil light came on so i quickly pulled over at Halfords and had a quick look in the log book to see what it suggests, now i can't really make out what the log book is listing as it is saying vw 504 00, vw 503 00? i have never seen codes like this?.

I jumped on to Opie oils but i can't seem to find a normal Gti only DSG which mine isn't? would they be the same?.

Sorry for a dumb question  :sad1:

its 504.00, 5W30

castrol edge or the quantum equivalent

as above... I use 504.00 castrol.

I was told off like a little schoolboy by beddie about this, have a look in your handbook, section 3 (i think) specifications & tech info, it will list your oil type there.
