Recently had my Mk5 Golf back after repairs - rear passenger side axle and rear suspension were replaced by an insurance nominated garage. The ride now feels bouncy when I go over small bumps in the road. Do not recall it being like that. Could they have not adjusted the suspension correctly, or even not fitted them right?

Need to speak to the garage about what parts they replaced. It sounds like they fitted new springs onto knackered dampers because GTIs are far from bouncy.

Thank for the info. I doubt whether the garage will be very helpful, they were not exactly customer friendly and were chosen by the insurers. How easy would it be for another garage to tell if this was the case?
