Title: Mk5 Golf GT tdi- radio/cd player won’t turn on!

The other day I took the radio out to try and put an aux connection to it, didn’t work, so I put the radio back in and now when I start the engine I have no power whatsoever going to the radio (also the lights for air con ect don’t work) garage want £45 just to diagnose the problem! I’ve checked the fuses and all seems fine, haven’t checked the one in the back of the radio as I can’t even get it out! Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!
