Sorry about the pics il get lots more when i have time.

I love this car its amazing to drive and so refined and smooth compared to my old car. I like White espically when its cleaned spent all weekend cleanin her il get pics up when i can.

I kept my old trim from my Mk5 So the recaros will be making a appearance in this car but im goin to paint the backs of the seats in candy white.

iv still got my works wheels which i might put on this but il have to see..

im not to happy with the monza shadows tho as on 2 of the wheels on the black inserts there are are a couple of patches which looks like white worm under the paint and has gone milky il get pics up. Do you think this could be sorted under warranty?

Hope you like.

Ash

ash, would you not be better wrapping the backs of the seats?

it would be way way way cheaper, you wouldn't need to disassemble the seats and you can put them back to standard really easy?

Even though there is talks of going with the works rims, I would still seek to have the 2 Monza II's replaced under warranty as they can only get worse right?

Will help with selling them on or keeping them to put back to standard. Looking forward to seeing a modded MK6 :happy2:

I will probley go down the Air route but at a later date iv only had the car a week and still getting used to it and enjoyin the ride! But Only Luke will do my Air Ride so it will be something to look forward to later in the year.. Prob do it for our own show Players in the summer.

Even though there is talks of going with the works rims, I would still seek to have the 2 Monza II's replaced under warranty as they can only get worse right?

Well i had a night mare with the dealers they are sayiong they wont be able to do it under warrenty! But when i say "other Dealers used to replace  the monza 2s on the Mk5s as people on the foum have had them replaced" and they say that must have been a good will jester.

So i will send vw a letter in writing.

But i havent even got my locking wheel nut yet they got me one 2 day but it was the wrong one again so i can even put my works wheels on to show you lot.

Il have to see what happens when i go there at the end of the week.

Im not very happy so far.

Try another dealer?
Is this a brand new car? I would demand them replaced if you are not happy mate especially if it is brand new! After all you have paid top dollar for a perfect new car!
I got them to refurb my wheels and replace the caps after I picked the car up and it was used.

The car came from vw headquarters in milton keynes was a demo car. 2009 with 6k on it. 8months old.  I bought the car from VW in Abridge as i know a salesman there as he buys supplements from me.

But il try another friend i know at a vw dealership in south ruislip hes a head technician.

Don't give up on this one, keep on pushing VW head office to get a resolution. If you know that this car was a head office car then it was run by one of the team there for 3 months and sold on to the dealership, so it has been in VW's possesion up until the point where you bought it. These cars are meant to be inspected by VW when the car is handed back from the member of staff who ran the car from new and then inspected again before going to the dealership so the defect on the wheels should have been noticed already, if they had done their job correctly. Secondly the white worm on the wheels cannot be put down to wear and tear, they also cannot argue that the age or milage on the car could have contibuted to this defect and these are the usual reasons that they would give for not repairing or replacing any defects. Don't take no for an answer, good luck

Car looks sweet and the list of mods sounds exciting, can't wait to see it take shape  :happy2:

mate you need to just keep on at them, ive had so many warranty claims on my 2008 mk5 where things keep going wrong and they refuse to change it saying its "wear and tear" or due to my driving ect, everytime ive written a letter to the head of the vw dealership that i use telling him that unless they sort it i will be getting in contact with vw headquaters and every time its been sorted within the week they just try to get away with every claim they can

Nice motor Ash  :notworthy:

I would get someone to photoshop the back of the seats first before you commit to painting them white. I thought about white a while back and it didn't look as good as i thought. we all have different taste's though just take a blimp first before they go to the paint shop.  :happy2:

Sorry for not updating this thread been busy sorting out my sports supplement business...

So far iv put on a set of detroit monzas thanks to Oli..

Iv put 15mm spacers on the back so the wheels fit the arches better..

Also gt eibach springs coming 30mm drop so it doesn't affect the acc.

I still have my r32 brakes which will be goin on  at the weekend when I have a oil and filter change..

I should have the outer r lights come this week and a big thanks to steve for making my adaptors for the lights..

I'll get plenty of pics when I get time!

the works wheel will be going on once iv decided what colour 2 paint them and once iv decided what colour trim I'm going for as I still have my recaros...

The big changes will be happening after UDs when it goes on air.. the springs and detroits are just a winter look as it looks Gaay on stilts..

Not really taken a fancy to the mk6's personally, prefer Mk5's, but ultimately jealous of that S3 spec list!

S3's just look so much better than the regular A3's, and with the buckets... ooft! :notworthy:

Only seen a TTRS in suzuka grey at the dealers a month ago, but its an awesome colour!

Awesome Ash, you will not be dissappointed!

You have gone for the perfect spec there, that is exactly how my order sheet would look if I was in your position!

Oh and Suzuka Grey is just

sorry to barge in on your build thread, of a soon to be S3.

But where did you find the recaro's in the first place?

Been trolling the internet for around 6 months now trying to find some. But no luck.
What makes getting these that much more difficult is that I'm in New Zealand.

None of the GTI/R32/S3's have been wrecked with those recaro's in yet. it's been around 5 years already.
IF you could provide contact details phone or preferably email address that would be awesome.

Also stunning MK6 you currently have there. Very nice indeed.
Reckon your new Acquired S3 will be just as stunning
