Title: Cam chain adjuster - genuine or afternarket?

Hi all,
Doing cam chain and tensioner job, just a little worried that the cam adjuster teeth look a little pointy and the U of the teeth look a little opened up (worn sprocket) so am considering replacing it for piece of mind... going to do it regardless and put it all back together knowing it’s ALL done! Question is... I’m using all other genuine parts and need to get the adjuster now, but the genuine adjuster is £400 and aftermarket is just under £100 I’m more inclined to get genuine but what do you guys think... GENUINE or AFTERMARKET cam adjuster?

One that works.......what causes this too fail anyone know??

Cheers Rich! Will be getting a genuine one hopefully tomorrow, will phone TPS and give my mate a call at audi to see who can get it cheaper!

new genuine camshaft adjuster coming tomorrow, my mates getting it for £395.18
