Tried replacing my fuel filter at the weekend but the screw is rounded off, does anyone know what length and thread it is so when I finally get it out I can have a new one ready. Dont want to take it before I have to.

Does anyone have the part no for the fuel filter mount itself? Mine broke last time I changed it and want to replace it at my next service.

Well worth doing BTW. Mine felt instantly more responsive after changing on 118k with a 6.6 bar Bosch.

Hi, just trying to change fuel filter and the screw for the mount is rusted. Might need to break mount off. Anyone know how to get another mount? Thanks in advance.
-
The filter mount is part of the tank.

Have been trying to locate the mount and dealer is unable to find it in the catalogue. Any one had any luck on part number etc?

Once again, it's PART OF THE TANK!
-
Ah misunderstood you. That’s fine thanks

Part number 1K0 201 060 GL isn’t it @Pudding (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10733) ? :signLOL:

Is that not the pn for the whole tank?
I had a look at mine when I last changed the filter and the clamp is moulded into the tank. All you can do is cut through the lower strap and cable tie it. It’s a really sh1tty design

Its a mild steel cross head screw.
Carefully drill the through the head till it drops off, rounded out screw will centre the drill bit, you should be able to open the clamp and you are left with 6mm of thread you can grip with vice grips:

Replacement screw - Audi used stainless T20 screws for under body stuff / arch liners - I used one of them
