some basic tips for car photography is to make sure theres nothing seen through the windows of your car in the background, the lower you take the shot the more aggressive it can appear, make sure the area youve chosen isnt polluted with litter etc or telegraph poles, avoid catching anything unwanted in the reflection of the car...

look for your light source, wheres the sun? whats giving off reflections?

a good tip is to find a photo of a car you like on the interweb or a magazine, then try and replicate it. in doing so you'll quickly discover how complex it can be and hopefully making some mistake will give you a good learning curve

its a long subject tbh, trial and error is the best way, else i could bore you with light reading, focus points blah blah blah blah and you wont want that

There are millions of things that go into taking good car photos. I read through a bit on this site and it is full of good tips etc.
One thing that is expressed a lot on there is the rule of thirds. (not always having the car in the centre of the photograph, explained in more detail on here:

http://www.carphototutorials.com/tutorials.html (http://www.carphototutorials.com/tutorials.html)

As you can see it is not just parking and clicking the button for a good pic!  :surprised:
I need to buy a better camera!
Ollie :happy2:

EDIT: If anyone else knows any other good sites like this then I would like to have a nose around!  :happy2:

Since your in Rotherham why not get an industrial background with the Templeborough Steel works as the background .  You could get some nice shots around  there.  Ladybower reservoir is always good too. :happy2:

Remember to clear the das and windscreen of any clutter, including tax badges.

I was thinking of Magna but remeber it as Templeborough before they closed it down.  Mam Tor above Castleton has some good locations as well for scenery with height. :happy2:

Look forward to seeing the results.  happy snapping

Try Boston Castle next to the collage. On a clear day to can see all the way to Derbyshire as it's the highest point in Rotherham. You'll get a decent background from there.
