I'm really not a fan of 'Should I buy [yet another] £XXX,XXX car?' Schmee150DidaWeeWeeinhispantees, but Shoduchi has a white ED30

indeed he can wear a bit thin at times, prefer B is for Build or MrJWW tbh
Nice to see a fast Mk5 though

Not a fan either, same with Supercars of london guy
Monday - Buys New Car
Tuesday - Says he has super exciting news about the car, and is deciding on a wrap colour
Wednesday- Video of car getting wrapped
Thursday- Video about all the great things about the car and how great it is
Friday- Video of all issues with the car
Saturday - Video driving to a high-end car dealer
Sunday - Video saying he's got super exciting news and to watch tomorrow
repeat
Trouble is if they don't keep changing car there's no content

Indeed. It's amazing how many people love that nonsense. I think the average age of his audience is 15 because they love all that 'Supercars leaving a meet' type BS.
There aren't many vloggers I can tolerate for more than 20 seconds tbh. A lot of them are basic, attention seeking, click baiting, sponsored, vacuous dumb arses. Logan Paul....say no more. A millionaire from being a prick in front of a camera. How have humans so quickly devolved into loving that meaningless crap? I honestly think the human race will go full circle and end up crawling back into the sea, and get eaten by Sharks. Nature's job done  Anyway, t'is a rant best saved for the Random sub forum
Harry's Garage - now there is a chap I can watch for hours and hours. Yes he's rich and yes he buys a lot of cars, but does he rub it in people's faces? Nope. Does he post stupid baiting thumbnails? Nope. You actually get some useful information about the cars he's reviewing. He's a rarity on that old tube.
I quite like LivingLifeFast as well. He's met up with some really humble, genuine and talented enthusiasts......and close to my heart, he's tested R32 turbos and a lot of other insane VWs etc :happy2:
Plus a few other DECENT motoring vloggers like SavageGeese, SpeedAcademy etc etc. More of that please :drinking:

Well said, my feelings exactly. :congrats:

Somewhat ironically, YouTube may radically change in the near future because of Article 13. Google were demonetising and pulling any videos that rubbed their far left views the wrong way, and now the new ruling could potentially do the same back to them  You've probably noticed their 'have the internet your way' adverts recently. Who are they kidding? Funny how their attitude shifts when new laws threaten their income.
These big American corporations need reality checks. Their greed is spiralling out of control. There are some shining stars uploading content to YouTube, and their way of recognising their value and skill is to bombard loyal consumers with adverts, forcing us to pay £10 a month to shift them. They make a fck ton of money as it is, but it's clearly not enough for them.
Also spiralling out of control is American spying. It's no myth that smartphones are listening to us. Conversations me and the missus have had have resulted in adverts popping up on Facebook, Amazon and YouTube and Siri is not even enabled on my phone!! Minority Report is actually happening. Life imitates art

Smartphones listening to us 100% agree.
Was in hospital the other week & got chatting to a chap regarding virtual reality headsets. Finished conversation was scrolling through FB, advert came up straight away for the Oculus VR head sets!
I've never searched for VR stuff but all of a sudden it pops up after the chat.

Reading that its almost as if you pulled it straight out of my mind :D

I'll have to watch Harrys Garage, I don't think I've seen that before. Volkswizard is good to watch, (He's got an Ed30). ProjectBinky (Bad Obsession Motorsport) is a good one, putting a Celica Engine in a Mini lots of custom fabricating and very skilled machining. There are a couple of channels with guys I watch from America who buy crashed cars and repair them. I enjoy MightyCarMods and HumbleMechanic
None car stuff I enjoy Colin Furze, Mike Boyd (guy who learns new skills), Half as Interesting, Wendover Productions, VASavation (ATC radio comms of interesting stuff/crashes that happens)
Ohh and this is nice to watch too (relaxing before bed) - Very James May! Restore IT
LivingLifeFast is good, but some of the driving you see is a bit on the dangerous side clearly going well over speed limits, flying around corners when there could be cyclists, horses, pedestrians, broken down cars, tractors etc just around there.
Ah I just remember another annoying car vlogger guy Archie Hamilton, I blocked his videos as his face was annoying as his content.

Doesn't surprise me. We are all just cash cows to the 1 percenters who control the world. I was chatting to the missus on Sunday night about her car battery showing signs of weakness on cold starts and sure enough, batteries started appearing in my facebook news feed today
And more worrying, she sent me a link of something to order for her from Amazon - because she can't be arsed to set up her own prime account - and adverts for baby toys now appear. So it seems whatsapp is spying as well, ffs!

Yeah I love all that engineering stuff as well :happy2:
Volkswizard, good old Andrew Chapple. I remember him from my Corrado days. I only discovered he had a channel recently, he presents pretty well :happy2:
MCM - hmmmmm, I did used to like them in the old days when they busted myths like intakes, ebay chips, black intercoolers etc.....and the super gramps build was great, but quite honestly, I grew tired of Moog. He tries too hard to be the funny man, and he isn't a lot of the time. I can watch dose vader, turbo yoda and tuning fork for hours, but not Moog! Go fast brett does good videos too, particularly on how the TFSI diverter valve works :happy2:
Agreed about LLF, they can get a bit chavvy at times with the stupid driving, stupid bangy and very smokey exhausts etc (crap tunes). It's all scene bollocks, pops and bangs BS teenagers love so much. I turn it off the moment I get a sense that's where the video is heading.
I do find it slightly irritating that some of these really young vloggers scoff at 'only 400hp' but they have absolutely zero mechanical understanding, and focus purely on click baiting BHP numbers, which are often pure fantasy in many cases. 700hp Golf Rs etc etc. Come on, get a reality check kids. How the hell can a standard Golf R engine make that, even with a bigger turbo, it's ridiculous. They never question the feasibility of it all, they just take everything at face value. And of course, the tuners get free publicity from it all as well. Sending customers home with gearbox smashing torque levels, tons of black smoke, sh*te mpg and turbo destroying pops and bangs......but as long as it gets likes on Instagram and facebook, it's all that matters
Ahhh restore it, love that :happy2: The missus came home from work the other day and saw me watching rusty old hammers and just rolled her eyes
Another thing that bugs me about American videos in particular, boy do they take frickin ages to get to the point of the video!!

Juiceboxforyou is one of my favourites. That and car throttle simply because my best mate films for them and it would be rude not to. But I'd say juicebox is my favourite. Used to watch MCM, not so much anymore.
@Pudding (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=10733) I follow an owner of a mk7 golf R with a stock 2.5tfsi engine making around 800bhp...9.4 @ 144mph

Check out MCM2 - the Drag Week series is fantastic, Mechanical Stig, Yoda and Woody :happy2:
Skid Factory spin off too.

That is a great conversion. I'm not a fan of the RS3 or TTRS, so that engine in a MK7 is a cool idea. What are they standard, 400hp? He must have a massive turbo on it to double the power!

I'd love to be the guy on the white Ed. 30. I'd love to travel to Nurburgring and learn the track well. Not easy to make almost 2000 miles to get there and then stay there long enough to get comfortable driving fast in such a long track. :driver:

Car Youtubers that I enjoy:
Hoovie’s garage - owns about 50 cars, all ‘Hoopties’ (dogs). Just bought a Delorean that stalls if he floors it. He goes through all the faults and then takes them to ‘the wizard’ - his mechanic, who fixes them. Gives you the cost of the purchase and the repair costs.
Doug Demuro - reviews all types of cars from 3000GT’s to Golf R’s. Very fast speech and I guess he could be annoying, but I love it! Shows you all the type of stuff you’d never normally see, like the indicators on a Ferrari F40! Very geeky, but then so am I.
Cleetus Mcfarland - HELL YEAH BROTHER! Very redneck sounding ‘Merica kind of vids about whacking turbos on an old Corvette and blasting nitrous straight out of the bottle, by hand into a car’s intake on a rolling road. Got to 1,000 BHP before they toasted the engine. I love it!
