Title: Golf FSI 1.6 blowing
Post by: Dragonslayer2 on December 10, 2018, 02:06:40 pm
Got an exhaust that's blowing, was told cat is gone..I wanted to get peoples opinion if I should replace or de-cat it?

How much would I be looking for? Would love to do it myself, just can't be bothered doing it underneath without a ramp

Thanks

It will fail the MOT without a cat.

if you decat it.. like Rich said: it will fail the MOT. if you pay once to have a new cat installed then the jobs done once and for all (MOT ready). if you mess with a decat.. that will cost, then you'll still need to have a cat fitted pre MOT and it will cost again.

About £130 for a budget one, assuming that's the correct part
