Title: 2.0 TFSI BWA - Oil pressure
Post by: cosminstanciuro on December 24, 2018, 05:02:01 pm
Hello

I am trying to find out if somebody encountered this situation before.

Engine in cause - 2.0 TFSI BWA EA113

In VCDS - Instruments - Adv.Meas. - Oil Pressure (Here we have 2 possible values shown - 1. OK ; 2. <min)

After the engine is completely warm, rather I would say hot (coolant temp. 91-93) - is there anybody who have the value shown "<min") only at idle (750 rpm) ?
As soon as the idle is raised just a little bit (800 rpm) - OK is shown.

Oil pressure sensor good. Tested with mechanical gauge - pressure good.

Thanks.

Could be the oil pickup pipe blocked, it's very common with long life servicing that these become blocked over time.

Drop the sump and take a look at it.

@ady-gti (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=607)

Thanks for your reply.

I thought about this also but I am not sure considering the following :

- At cold start the value it shows OK until the oil is completely warm
- Oil was changed 7-9K

If anybody would be curios to let me know what value they have (Instruments - Adv.Meas. - Oil Pressure)  when the car is completely warmed, I would appreciate that.

Thank you very much.
