Car running rough found brake booster valve pipe to a n plastic pipe in crankcase broken any one know if this is a replaceable part?
-
If you mean the pipe from the intake manifold to vacuum pump, it's one piece. The check valve part isn't available separately.
-
The pipe and valve are recent where the pipe goes into the engine theres a plastic pipe fixed what I assume is the crankcase that has snapped Thanks for your reply I am waiting for dealer to ring back
-
o.k the plastic part is available common fault the plastic degrades over time causes idle fluctuation and breaks when you remove the pipe which is what has happened I will post again when I get the new part may help someone else

Useless dealer got wrong part, suggested I book into workshop at squillions pounds an hour. I asked them to contact VW tech for advice Car off road for a bit of broken plastic

-
OK no worries. Well that whole pipe assembly is sold as one piece like this, if it helps.

Thanks again VW tech have said the pipe goes from a junction fixes to the bottom on the assembly you pictured then goes around the bulkhead to the servo so I am getting that Tuesday

VW sent another wrong part cant find what I need on any diagrams suggested I book into workshop for diagnosis at £90 I declined booked in at a local guy tomorrow I took photos drew a diagram still dealer couldn't help said he had been in parts for 30yrs never failed before he has now off the bloody road for a piece of plastic
-
The bottom pipe in the above picture goes into the the coolant flange part number 06F121132H which acts as a coupler and joins it to the brake servo pipe.
-
Thanks bloody dealer coulndt work it out
-
Just checked a pic bang on £18 in dealer. Cant thank you enough for that Kevin
-
Anyone got how long it should take to fit above flange? Its booked tomorrow the guy hasn't done one before
-
Got new part today took to garage they rang to say it wouldn't fit without a modified clip for one of the pipes off the road till tomorrow. No mention of it when they handed it over. Bloody useless
-
did you get the plastic plug that fits over that open small bit of plastic pipework? I suspect that's what your garage says is missing.
it's part number is 056 129 777
-
They just told me its a modified clip fitting so not sure find out tommorow

Hi there,
I was changing my gearbox clutch yesterday and I snapped that damn pipe. I think it must come from the servo then joins into a piece which also has water pipes. Is the vacuum part just a way of connecting both pipes ie can I just re-route with another pipe and by pass this? If not does anyone have the part number for the tree?
Thanks
-
If it is the the coolant flange just above the gearbox you are talking about, then the bottom pipes just connect 2 pipes for the heater matrix, the 2 pipes above that connect the vacuum pipes together. If you have just snapped off one of the vacuum pipes then you can just connect the 2 together and bypass the flange and all will be good.

That’s great thank you. One less item off the list!
