Title: HPFP repair
Post by: St282 on December 27, 2019, 03:05:43 am
Is it possible to find a hpfp repair kit? Specifically repairing th piston head. I read somewhere in a forum someone did it but couldn’t find anything. Thoughts?

Best bet is to find someone who has stripped a pump to fit an upgrade and has the original internals spare or find a used pump. Have never seen replacement standard internals sold as a repair kit

I have a pump I no longer need. I bought a new one from AKS with the VIS internals.

You can't get individual HPFP parts. Not from VW at least.  You'll be taking a gamble with second hand parts.  A brand new Hitachi pump is approx £280 GBP.  If Brunei dealer pricing is consideraby more, consider getting one shipped from the UK or US, which ever is cheaper.   These pumps are very easy to mess up, especially the piston seal if you pinch it during assembly. You will fill the oil sump with fuel.
