I am going to look at an Golf GTI Edition 30 on Saturday. How do I tell its a real one and not a GTI with an Edition 30 badge stuck on the tail gate.
-
look for Half leather seats, red stitching on wheel/ handbrake and seats, edition 30 sill covers on the front sills, tinted rear lights, painted bumpers and skirts, bumpers are different to normal gti too , dump valve on front of engine
Most of all the logbook will state it's an Edition 30 ,230

Edit - Beaten by 182_Blue :P
On the cosmetic side of things Red Stitching on the seats, steering wheel and gear gator and different front spoiler and lower rear bumper (all colour matched with sills).
Under the bonnet the DV is located on the front of the engine.
Also it should be listed on the V5C as an Edition 30 :happy2:

The obvious things like the trim being different, but you could check the sticker under the boot carpet?
A 147kw output is the standard GTI, ED30 will be about 165kw... :nerd:
