Title: Alarm 07 plate eddy
Post by: Geoffjackson on July 01, 2020, 06:40:06 pm
Hi folks
Had the car a good few weeks and alarm has just randomly started going off. This is worrying as it will soon start annoying the neighbours.
I have clicked the button twice and pressed the switch de-activation internally near the seatbelt as a temp measure. Should this give me a quiet night or would I be better just licking with key.
Would the alarm go off with a dying main or siren battery even if it isn’t armed??
Cheers In advance

I would hazard a guess the alarm controller thinks a door or window is open, or there might be a fly trapped inside the car buzzing around triggering the cabin sensors.

Have you scanned the car with VCDS to check for fault codes?

I had the same issue, it was the alarm horn internal battery that had given up. New from Aliexpress and all quiet again.

I have the car booked in to plug it in to vcds to see if I can find the culprit
Will keep updated on my progress
