Hi there,
I've got a manual 55 plate GTI and am looking to get it retrofitted with a MFSW steering wheel.
All I can see around have been MFSW DSG (with flappy paddles) and so I'd prefer not to have those installed or take them out and gave a gap.
Looking at the pre-facelift Scirocco steering wheel, it certainly looks like it's the same as a Mk5 GTI wheel, but will it give me any issues with either fitment or with the airbag? I have seen one at a good price with MFSW and so would be willing to buy and give it a go, but wanted to see what others think.

I imagine its exactly the same as the golf wheel so it should be straight forward to fit just make sure you get the correct airbag cable, I fitted a mfsw to my car and it's hard to imagine not having it now.

That's my thinking. Direct swap and perhaps keep the airbag from the Golf.
I agree, once you have MFSW, it's hard not have it. This is destined for my second GTI. When I'm travelling around and i want the volume changed, it's so strange to try to press the button but... nothing... is there....
