Title: Carbonio Tuning
Post by: briniuk on March 26, 2010, 11:35:18 pm
Hello all!

I have just got a GTI mk5 2.0 T. Wahey to begin with but..

I need to ask a few things, the car has the r32 exhaust system. Firstly if I bought a carbonio filter, then get a chip (apparent 50+hp upgrade roughly) would things run ok? is it the chip the same as a remap? Secondly with it running the r32 exhaust I presume its a tad more than 200bhp if it was 210 or 220 would this be added to the 50 hp the chip upgrade gives? Also anyone know any figures the Carbonio gives?

Thanks!

dont get a chip, seriously, you have a great car there, IMO Remap the car using a reputable tuner.

If money isnt that readily available, there are plenty of options available that are good value, and proven

group buy on P torque here-they get good reviews and are excellent value  http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/153737-p-torque-remap-group-buy/

alternately look into

shark performance
REVO
APR
jabbasport
bluefin

secondly-your chip wont give you 50hp anyway, thats just false marketing, realistic gains for a stage 1 are 30-40 HP.  if you have the downpipe included with your exhaust system then you could realistically go to 260Hp.
