Not standard fit but the scene tax plugs
-
Lots of fake plugs on eBay I’d definitely be getting them from elsewhere
-
motor factors , NGK platinum tipped , been fine for 4 years
-
These are the OEM plugs, less the (considerable) VW tax - https://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/ngk-spark-plug-pfr7s8eg-1675
They last a LOT longer than those iridiums. Only the electrode on those is iridium, whereas the OEM plug has platinum on the electrode as well as the ground strap.
That website is totally legit, no fakes. Been using them for years.

Nice link!
The plugs I got given recently for mine were 06H905611, the TPS receipt list the RRP as £15.25 -Fortunately, with my good relationship I got the Parts Club price of £9.02... however they are Bosch plugs.
That is quite a markup, I suppose they have to pay for diesel gate somehow.

I thought VW had moved away from Bosch years ago, due to misfiring issues? The last set of OEMs I got from the dealer was about 3 or 4 years ago and they were NGKs, and nearly £25 each :surprised: Maybe they've gone back to Bosch, or TPS still list the old Bosch ones, but either way that's a cheap price!
I'm sure the coilpack connector pin was gold plated on the dealer ones, but otherwise they are identical to the ones linked :happy2:

Bosch was a surprise - I was expecting VW badged NGK - like I got nearly 2 years ago from the same TPS

Cheers Kev, just ordered a set as i value your opinion! :congrats:
On another note - The reason for changing plugs (on 3dr KO4 Converted GTi) is when the car is cold there is slight hesitation when accelerating. I had a prob in March 2020 with this and ended up cleaning MAF sensor, but its re appeared again. Today i changed coil packs (as they were originals) for OEM set, and again cleaned the MAF sensor. Car starts fine, idles fine, drives fine........Until i floor it.....its then coughing and spluttering and plumes of smoke from zorst. Any ideas? I need to stick VCDS on but my laptop died last night and a mate is repairing so will be with me tomorrow. I used a ODB tester and wasn't showing any faults. Once i get the plugs i'll fit them, however i did check them and the all had a healthy colour and no oil wetness etc??
Cheers
Louie

The scene tax ones are only 38 for a set. Not too bad, and I have not had a single misfire in them in god knows how many years. I will probably stick with them just because.
