Title: Oil filter housing - broken?
Post by: bobby_fodge on November 05, 2021, 04:27:42 pm
Hi, I changed the oil and filter today.

I found this bit of broken plastic on top of the old filter, I'm guessing it's part of the oil filter housing.

Do I need to replace the housing?

It looks like I have some of this highlighted part. Not sure where the rest of it is, wasn't in the old oil. Hmm.

If I bought that part does anyone know which way up it goes?

Could it be the top plastic part of an old oil filter?
