Title: Halfrauds Pressure Washers
Post by: vRS Carl on May 06, 2010, 05:36:58 pm
Are they any good??

Reason i ask is they have 50% off all pressure washers at the moment and i was looking at this one

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_372833_langId_-1_categoryId_165689

Only query is would snow foam lance and other stuff fit it like they do Karchers or am i just better off buying a Karcher

Cheers

Take it from the stunned silence that they aren't that good

I reckon there'll be a bank holiday offer end of this month at places like B & Q where you can bag yourself a Karcher

off topic, heard you're in the Forces, what do you do? Royal Engineers myself.

I read somewhere that halfords pressure washere are rebadged karchers. Not sure how true this is. FWIW I use a crappy k2.02 the size of a portable stereo and it works fine with snow foam lance.  Its probably 5-10 years old but works like a charm.

Personally I think it would be just fine. Just because it doesnt have a big common brand name on it, doesnt make it rubbish.

That should be fine mate all you would need to do if you already have a foam lance just buy a new connector for it all you got to do is have a look at the type of connector thats already onit then match it up with one of the ones on the following link simples
http://shop.autobritedirect.co.uk/foam-lance-connectors-84-c.asp (http://shop.autobritedirect.co.uk/foam-lance-connectors-84-c.asp)

Or just pick up the phone and give them a call im sure its quite a common question but if in doubt you could always buy this Karcher i got one the weekend and i had a extra £20 off at the till

But regardless of what one you go for i highly recomend getting a extension as Stealwolf mentioned in this thread

Cheers Folks

@Ben - the one you list from Tesco they have for the same price in B&Q.

The thing that was tempting me towards the Halfrauds one was the fact it had a 7m hose on it already.

Think im gonna hold off till the end of the month to see if there are any Bank Holiday deals.

Well not Quite £79.99 it was £80.04 :P Although that might have been a Bank Holiday offer as it is £104 on the B&Q website.

Plus i dont have a Tesco clubcard and i never will have one so no need for points  :P :P
