Rear discs have a 2mm lip but pads have around 8mm left, but after i've been driving for a few minutes I hear a squeak/chirp from the car, not constant just about 3 times a second, could be the front or the back. Goes away when I tap the brakes, but when coming to a half there is a constant squeak.
Squeak goes when I turn left and louder when I turn right.
Guess it's the corrosion on the discs?
Cheers

Any ideas?

Had the front brakes blast cleaned, just like new, problem remains? Garage saying could be wheel bearing?

How old is the car, how many miles?
It could be a wheel bearing problem, however, I'd be more inclined to strip the rear caliper slides, clean and regrease with some appropriate rubber lubricant (either the genuine OEM stuff - G 052 150 A2, or sommat like Lockheed Rubberlube).
Also, remove discs, thoroughly clean mounting face on hub and inside of disc, apply a thin coat of anti-seize paste (ideally nickel based - but copper will suffice). Finally, make sure pad back plates and hammer heads are also clean lubed with anti-seize.
Do all that - and your brakes will be quieter than a dead nuns chuff!

Did you ever find the solution to this problem? I'm sure I have the same problem on mine, seemed to become apparent after I had the tracking done on the car

Went away after a while
