Hi
Been looking at tapping my car with a lowering stick for some time & got myself royally confused!
My car is rolling on the original BBS 18" monzas, 3 door in black (if that makes a difference!) & I would like to lower it for mainly aesthetic reasons (give it a better stance etc).
Is it worth purchasing coilovers (something like the Ap's) or should I just use lowering springs. Not lowered my car in years but what I do remember is lowering a 1.0 fiesta/ xr2i/ rs turbo with koni springs & not uprating the struts resulted in a p*ss poor ride quality & other components failing regularly!
Will just using lowering spings affect ride quality & screw other parts of my car?
So what are my options & how much should I lower by? 25mm?
Any opinions appreciated ;-)
Martin

Back on topic - will some lowering springs be fine to fit or is it worth investing in some coilovers ya p*ss taking swines?

If you just want it for looks then Springs would be fine, I got some H&R springs on mine, only cost £100 and they lower it by 30mm, give a much better stance. Its if you are looking for performance improvements that the serious £ comes into it.

Fooking ace, Just burst out laughing really loud when i got to your reply.
Forum gold. :congrats:
If you are just looking for a car that has just got a better stance then 30 or 40 mil springs will suffice and you will get marginally better handling with comfort mostly still their.
Coils are more for better handling. :happy2:

I got completely the wrong end of the stick then, I read it as Red (on her nose) Robin! :signLOL:

Go for a good set of coilovers like BC, then you can set the height and rebound to how you like it.
