Must say they look stunning and Im really pleased with them. As sson as the car is clean tomorrow there going on! Pics to follow :happy2:

There's always a pleasure in knowing you've helped someone. It is very tricky getting stuff out of the U S of A and carbonfibre is a very labour intensive product too.

Im probably going to put some extra adhesive/sticky pads on the rear one.

Ditto, some adhesive of some form will be used on my rear badge too. :smiley:

I know mate but other than lock it away and not use it there's fook all we can do about it other than dream of catchin the little scrote's in the act :fighting:

Cheers TC, the front one does get a bit lost in the grill but close up still looks great :happy2:

Black CF against Steel Grey looks particularly good. The sometimes (according to lighting) 'lost' look on the front grill is common to all GTI Mk's past and present which have the traditional black VW badges.

Sounds like someone is either jealous or thinks negatively. You could say the same about your Edition30 badge - Which I think looks the dog's danglies and is by far the best way of additionally badging an Ed30. VW missed a trick there!

How did you get on with the rear Steve? I had a nightmare, it just didn't want to go back on, it was as though it had shrunk :rolleye:

They do look great robin, but way to much Money, and i couldnt justify it. If i had those on my car , they would be fastened with industrial strength adhesive, cus i wouldnt want them Nicked off the car.

Slight difference though Robin, my Ed30 badge is only Ã‚Â£8.98, and easy to replace whereas those carbon beautys are well over Ã‚Â£100 and a month or so to replace.Nothing negative about them Robin, just fix them with strong strenght Glue!.

Just the same by the sounds of things, it just about went on in the end but still on one edge it's sits a little high.

You could try carefully removing the backing black plastic (the emblem sits on top of this) off the handle.

Once off, you can then make sure all the clips on the back of the emblem full engages and locked on to the plastic piece. Glue the combo back on to the handle.

That's what I thought, maybe they have been exposed to some intense heat during the wrapping process? Good idea about separating the handle, wish I'd have thought about that today :wink:
