Never fill my car, too much weight to carry around lol
Usually put in around £30 at a time, but i think i usually get around 40-50 miles per £10 of fuel.

I normally use Tesco 99, but recently started using VPower as i didnt realise it was now 99RON, thought it was still lower, but turns out that was Optimax and VPower was improved :)

Between 280 and 340 miles depending on lengths of journeys... Rubbish! :sad1:

260-270 miles on a £65.00 fill up

Around 340 miles on Shell Super.  I'd say my typical week is probably 70% around town and 30% motorway, so i'm sure that figure could be improved.

Around 700-800 to a full tank, although I always refill to the brim once I get down to the last quarter mark, by which time I have at least 600 miles.

How, I hear you say??
Diesel

On a typical work run I get around 75mpg.
If I drive like Miss Daisy, I can get around 86mpg!

220-240 :scared:

In my experience, thats about right for a stg2 - stg2+ car if your enjoying it. And why not enjoy it if youve paid for it.
Title: Re: Fuel
Post by: theo on July 21, 2010, 01:56:12 pm
On my commutes I can usually get between 320-360 from a tank. If I am enjoying the car I usually manage around 220 now I am in the Stage2+ Club.

Title: Re: Fuel

Or enjoying it to its full potential.

20MPG is a realistic figure on a Stg2+ car if your properly using whats under the bonnet on the roads.

youve only got an 11 Gallon fuel tank. 220miles = simples.

i was thinking i paid £67 to fill this up and there isnt a chance in hell im stopping on a motorway services to fill up again!

There is a time and a place to drive it like you stole it, on a motorway is one of the most boring places to drive fast!

Post by: Frodo-anni on July 21, 2010, 02:33:00 pm
Before i get  :fighting: i can drive the anni pd pretty hard and it doesnt drop below 35-39mpg, i'll easy see 400-420 from town driving.

The light comes on around the 340 mile mark, so I generally fill up a few miles after, just put £62 of Tesco 99 in, about 52 Litres it said.

On a DSG GTI.
Thats mostly just driving to work and back, fairly short journeys (35-40 miles a day round trip)

The soot chucker is fine for when i was doing more miles, but realistically only do 200 a week now... time for some  :driver:
Title: Re: Fuel
Post by: Garth on July 21, 2010, 02:44:14 pm
I get around 310 miles from a full tank until the light comes on.

That's 90% motorway miles, however they are fast motorway miles

Managed 270, enroute to Germany and I spent quite alot of time over 130mph (love the auotbahn!) so pretty happy with that! The Range Rover I had (RIP) used to do 320 on a full tank averaging 70-90mph but that thing used to swallow £140 of vpower in one sitting.
Title: Re: Fuel

10 laps of the nurburgring emptied my tank when it was brimmed.

normally i get 280-300 around town,  long journey 360 if im lucky

Not got a feckin clue mate, i can think for the life of me why a remap, HPFP, exhaust and intake has gained 8 mpg, not complaining though !
Its not like i drive it slow either, im always giving it jabs of throttle so i can hear the ITG.

anyway very happy with the ecomomy and performance now
