Title: Monza 2's
Post by: Willy25 on August 19, 2010, 11:39:42 pm
Hi, just a quick one really, ive recently got a Gti and the wheels are near mint but there is some slight white lines coming from centre of the spoke of one wheel and two have slight lines around the 5 stud holes. I have heard that these wheels oxidise and corrode quite badly, so i was just wondering if there is anyway of stopping this developing. The bloke i bought it off got 1 new wheel and all 4 centre caps under warranty but the car was registered January 2007 and is out warranty so VW said they wouldnt replace it.
Thanks for any help. Will

Sounds like white worm effect to me, if its just slight then you can just get them re-lacquered instead of a full refurb.  :happy2:
