Found these today... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UR-4-Point-Middle-Lower-Bar-Volkswagen-Golf-GTI-V-MK5-/320570411112?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM
Just wandered what peoples thought were on them?

no need as the mk V is fully welded

Cheers Danish. I thought the MK5 shell was pretty stiff to begin with. I know it doesn't benefit from an upper front strut brace due to the top suspension mounts being so close to the bulk head, and its increased rigidity but I thought what with uprated ARB's, rear strut braces and cages that people fit then these might be something worth investigating a bit further. What do you mean by "fully welded" though? I thought all modern cars would be fully welded by tack welds, or do you mean they're seam welded?

Not sure of the right term but must bee seam welded, not just tagged, point by point but the full line is welded, so pretty stiff from a starting point :happy2:

Ah gotcha! thanks Danish for clearing that up.
