No offense, but why not buy an unmodded ED30 instead?

IMO loved the bonnet and tints. Wheels not so sure about.

Maybe this was within his price range taking in to account the work to get it the way he wanted.

Let's just say the spec was what I wanted, it had 11,500 miles on the clock, and the price was cheap as no dealer was interested in forecourting the car.

Almost Carl, the car was cheaper than I thought it was going to be and the paint work and wheels cost all in £750, So all in all I got a great bargain.

Didn't mind it with the tints and bonnet strip, but it deffo looks better with the bonnet the same colour.
And you really need to change the user name to Zebedee with a reg like that....

I liked the bonnet and tints, but not the wheels. I wouldn't go so far as to say you've made it look worse by any stretch, but I might have kept the rear tints. In fact I would have!

All in all, it looks like a white 5dr ED30 now.... Which isn't a bad thing :)

Don't think it looked 'chav' originally at all. I just think it looked 'incomplete'. If the previous owner wanted to follow the black V bonnet then he should have really done the roof and mirrors black too to continue the theme. You really think this looks chav? (this is my old car)...

I think the word 'aggressive' is a better choice of word......

What you have done is turn a modded edition 30 into a standard one. i wouldnt say de-chav'd, i personally thought it looked better before but thats just my 2p worth. still looks great by the way  :happy2:

I think it looks way, way better. I'd have done all your changes but I'd have kept the tints.

Looks 10X better. The standard look is a good one.

Well, it was meant to be, but I never got that far  :sad1: My plans were to strip it completely and make it look more 'track-like' but the lure of a BMW M3 was just too strong, so I decided to stop throwing money at the GTI and started saving for the M3!
