Post by: mackit on October 04, 2010, 06:48:15 pm: I heard that for a lot of the supercars or very top performance cars, the manufacturers often stipulate that their own test drivers drive it round the track. So any top Porsche, Merc, Lambo, etc., they would send their own test driver to get the best possible time.

Not 100% sure that's true but i have heard that and read that somewhere.
