Anybody know if the BSH intake is available in the UK?
I think it looks really good. It combines the the best of both worlds - CAI and HAI.

Unfortunately you'll have to order direct from BSH.
The website doesn't yet give you an overseas shipping option so you'll have to email Phil or Brandon for an inclusive costing.
In case anyone is wondering what the graph actually indicates, this is what ross tech says:
"Your peak airflow should be roughly 0.80 times your horsepower if you are close to sea level. So, if you have a stock 150 hp 1.8T, expect around 120 g/s. If you see significantly less than that, you MAF may be on the way out. Also note that airflow will be markedly different at higher altitudes due to reduced ambient air pressure, especially with naturally aspirated engines that do not have forced induction to overcome that deficiency. This still works if you are chipped, but "race" programs may make more power through timing, rather than airflow. Therefore, take all readings with a grain of salt".

just enquired bout bsh intake and the guy from bsh quoted 352 dollars which is 248 pounds.

Had a look at the BSH, the pipe work and filter seem very similar to the new speed. The filter may drop down fractionally lower, but the difference seems to be the filter enclosure/cold air feed, therefore the Neuspeed should produce a similar result with the addition of a similar housing.

It seems to me that all the 'lollipop-on-a-stick' filters are pretty similar and that their extra performance claims depend on the filter enclosure and the car they are tested on. Consequently it's quite difficult deciding which aftermarket air intake is best to buy.
For now I'm happy with my ITG in the stock box with Carbonio, but I'm not kidding myself that there are many gains, rather that it (hopefully, and I'm told) improves efficiency and that it has not been an issue when I was under VW warranty. Oh, and that the Carbonio looks pretty 8)

You're right Robin, does seem to be down to the enclosure, but worth mentioning. The Neuspeed certainly does lack one, and I pretty sure the figures would be different again, if it had one.
