Got my winter tyres today so i'm ready for everything the winter weather can throw at us. Went for these in the end Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme. :happy2:

I'll do a review once they have been on the car (MK6 GTI) for a while and driven them in various wintery conditions. All the reviews i managed to read were very promising so i'm expecting good things.

I love vredestein tyres, even the ultrac sessantas are superb in the snow. For years I dreaded driving the golf in the snow, I couldn't get off my drive with f1's, last winter with all the snow was business as normal every day:)

Got mine for £146 a corner (elite direct), not cheap but i wanted a set having read the reviews.
Have to say trying to find a set was like looking for hen's teeth, :signLOL:
@182 Blue. be good to compare notes once we've run them for a bit :happy2:

:driver: yes indeed, I'm still sourcing another set of oem rims for them to go on, but should be sorted soon, mine were £130 each from mytyres :smiley:, looks like I got in at right time as they seem to be shooting up in price
