hello everyone, ive just recently bought some gti clocks off a breakers for £40. i wanna know if anyone on here has ever fitted them into
a mk5 gt tdi and will they go straight in?

Your right there. They need to be from a late 2005 car or earlier and also your car needs to be late 2005 or earlier.
This makes it diyable with the right software but any newer and its a specialist job.

Its not 'hassle' but you just need the right clocks, k+can commander to read the immo data and vcds to clear all the faults youll get when you do the swap.
I and many others have done it, usually to upgrade to the highline cluster. Mortygttdi on here has r32 clocks in his gt tdi.
What year is your car?
