Title: AAArrrrr I need an adapter for my RNS 510 and no dealer carries it

Just come to installing my RNS 510 and don't have the adaptor for the ariel

Solution 1 – Suits all (both straight and right angle swivel)

Volkswagen have an adapter available that resolves this problem.



Partnumber is 7L6 051 551 (7L6051551) and this is available for around AUD$50, GBP£28 and USD$30 from any Volkswagen spare parts department.

Just pull the original plastic sleeve off and it will seperate into two and you can plug them in this way. Secure with some tape and Bob's your Mothers Brother!  :happy2:

Yeah there's no point in spending £££. As Greeners has stated, the plastic blocks can be removed from the antenna leads, leaving you with two metal plugs. These plug straight into the back of the unit, though I've never bothered taping them.

Cheers Guys,

I found the OEM cable at Halifax VW, so shot across and picked it up, now it's all working well.
