hello all,
i typed my codes into the online decoder to see what my car came with from the factory,
this is the result:
B0N = Component parts set, complying with vehicle type for Great Britain, various parts
CG6 = Alloy wheels 7.5J x 17
G1A = 6-speed automatic transmission
H6L = Tires 225/45 R17 91W
J0L = Battery 340 A (70 Ah)
D2L = 4-cyl. gasoline engine 2.0 l/147 kW 16Vturbo FSI, homogeneous Base engine is T59/T61/TQ2/TU2/TD6/TN6
1AT = Electronic stabilization program (ESP)
1G9 = Space-saving spare wheel for temporary use, radial tire (5-hole)
1MS = Leather steering wheel with Tiptronic
1NL = Covers for alloy wheels
5RV = Right exterior mirror: aspherical
5SJ = Left exterior mirror: convex

it says here that it came with body coloured bumpers, but i have declaired these to the insurance people, as i thought they had been done after market, do i still need to declaire them??
also what head unit should my car of been fitted with from factory, as it says radio and cd player (high end)

you just type in your options from the sticker under your boot carpet or from the front of the service hand book :)

Technically, no you don't need to declare as it's a factory option. Anything that was added after the car left the factory needs to be declared. Having said that, I would still declare it though make it clear that it was OEM and not done afterwards, but also that most other GTIs don't have them painted.

Remember these are options against the most basic golf they make - so it probably doesn't mean colour coded bumpers like we think but the bump stips and the like are coloured unlike what you might get on a 1.2 base level golf.
