Title: Split exhaust
Post by: Chris on November 11, 2010, 09:30:45 pm
Went down to Wheels in Motion today to have my annual suspension geometry check on the gti, now on that side of things everything they set up last year on is spot on barring the odd minor tweek for wear and tear.

Anyway while it was up in the air i was called in to look at something that they had noticed.

To my amazement i was pointed to the 3" split in the pipe directly behind the back box. Now i always thought the car had a throaty sound to it which was quite nice but didnt expect something like this.

Ive seen exhaust get pin holes in before but never split, unless something has hit it.

As anyone else come across this
