Holy Moly!!  :surprised:

Had no idea this was going on! I was planning to visit the Ring next year, but who knows what will happen to it now, I hope the car community can do somthing to save it, I know I would help!!

As said by one of the commenters: bullacca.

I really hope this doesn't go ahead, and it stays a public track. It's one of those places I'd love to visit and drive on. Truly Holy Grail ground!

nope...but it doesn't surprise me. Not sure how old the article is tho..i mean the roller coaster complex was built and finished last year when I went. But how can they build it all if the financing wasn't there to pay for it? It's like Donington Park but at least they didn't do too much damage!

Ah well I'll just go drive some public roads further into Europe instead if they raise the TF prices of the Ring to be make uneconomical.  Stupid tho as they need the income!!

it wil stay open, think how much money that track takes/day.  Its a money tree, and im surprised no other millionaire/billionaires have done somthing elsewhere.

Reply post from 'Trent Stoke' - (not mine)   :happy2:

The path of the righteous gearhead is beset on all sides by the iniquities of private finance and the tyranny of forced commercialization.

Blessed is he who, in the name of graffiti and good corners, shepherds the prototypes through the valley of Nürburg, for he is truly his fellow driver's keeper and the finder of crashed sportbikes.

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious torque those who would attempt to bankrupt and destroy my Nordeschliefe. And you will know my name ist der Ringmeister when I lay my elevenses upon thee.

i hate the ring after when i was over in august it has gone too big for its own boots and has spoilt the vibe of the place with this big centre in the middle of the place as its lost that something special feeling you had driving up the hill towards the dorint hotel and just seeing lots of special cars with like minded people to talk to  :sad1:They should have left as it was with maybe one or two shops but thats it  :stupid:

Having seen some stuff translated from the German TF forums, and from those who live there, that's a pretty one-sided and narrow minded view of what's happening. It has been written with sensationalism and coverage foremost and fact second.

I wouldn't write it off just yet.

They had better not write it off. I plan on driving there for a few years to come :driver:
