Get a bluefin, very OEM - doesn't feel any different till the point the turbo 'normally' kicks in.  If she doesn't take it that far she'll never know!

i agree, bluefin is probably the least aggressive of all the tuners.

as you can see the figures aren't exactly through the roof, and the torque is kept around 225lbft but stage 1 bluefin is very very smooth

The Bluefin on my Edition 30 was just like standard until you floored it and kept your foot down

drivign normally without using full throttle and extending the revs ... you would never have known the difference - infact you could ... it was smoother !

Or go for a switchable map such as Revo. The dealer will set it up to your liking, buy the select switch and takes 10 seconds to switch between a standard and modified map. (bluefin takes forever!)

Just dont let her find the switch

I would prefer a really good map that is easy and quick to switch than a half and half 'soft' map that you wont really notice unless you are driving it hard. Typically the bluefin will see torque figures of 230-235 ft/lb whereas a good map will see 260-280 ft/lb with far more drivability at low-mid throttle.

problem is with switchable revo it,s expensive i believe
going to wait till after crimbo then get one
just have to convince her that its money well spent

Revo is currently offering a £100 discount and can get used switches for £50-60.

Since when do women choose what we do with our cars anyway

Are any of these tuners close to Cambs, or near Yorkshire :) That's where I've got to pick it up from next week

PDT, JKM, I've not heard of these, I'll check Awesome too, I'm guessing this is for a generic map or all maps, I'm guessing that a standard edition 30, might as well be a genreric map? Thanks

Sure MATD30 will confirm but racing line in halifax are a reputable REVO delaer by all accounts.

We (pdt) are in tyne and wear, no revo software for the tfsi is generic as its set up for each individual car. We choose ti set up on the dyno and then road test, others may differ.

We also offer maps near rotherham/worksop when required as we have the facility to offer revo in this area.

I wish it was a decent spec, I wanted CW, but gave up and bought a grey 3 door with 18k miles on the clock, I had to fore go spec for price and miles on the clock :(
