Very nice mate is that a K1 or just the BTCC body kit? looks in great condition and with some nice extras like xenons :drinking:
-
Its a Cupra with the kit fitted from factory as an extra im told, xenons are great they are cornering ones are they the same on the golf?
I had the wheels powder coated gloss black sets the colour off nicely i think
Thanks
J

I didnt realise the leon xenons were adaptive, unfortunately the golf ones are standard and dont look round the corner on the MK5 the MK6 ones do. Think it would have been difficult to fit them into the design on the MK5 as they dont wrap round the side of the car enough. One good thing with the Golf xenons is you still get the standard high beam bulb as well so its literarally like day light with full beams on and you can track your view far up the road. :driver:
-
VERY nice... thats the Linea-R kit so im told! :happy2:
-
I see what you mean about the shape of the lights,my last Mk5gti didn't have the Xenons but i really wanted them even for the "look" as well as the performance of them!
I didn't know it was called that! i know of the Aero/K1/BTCC! all the same apart from the rear valance part as there is 3 options i think, centre, normal postion like mine and then twin one each side right?
J

You'll certainly enjoy the drive home mate

Thanks :happy2:
And yes im really looking forward to feeling the extra power,Im going to put the cupra on a little weight loss diet! im ordering a set of Recaro pole positions and new steering wheel, looking into track wheels too something lighter than my stock wheels not a hardcore weight loss as i like to keep things refined! but more focused to driving it hard and track days next year
Question anyone used or headr good things about AMD's Stage 2 map?

If you're using AMD I would highly recommend going Revo if you're going Stage 2+ mate.. Regarding the wheels, have you thought about what style you're going for. TD Pro Race 1.2's and 1.3's are a popular choice as they do everything well (looks, price, weight). Or there's the likes of the OZ and Speedline range (Turinis, Superleggera, Alleggerita) all of which look mint, but aren't cheap.

Indeed that was me at the ring. Traded that car last year for a C4S Cab. Your going to give a few Carrera's a fright with stage 2 Leon :signLOL: Trust me, I know!

Sunglasses ron- im calling AMD to speak to them regarding the difference between the two maps-Revo-AMD Stg2 in terms of power delivery etc, i was dead set on revo but AMD are offering me a good price as they are fitting the pump an cam follower aswell, i know revo is very popular.whats your thoughts? is it just a matter of revo being most tried an tested?
csman-great! i love porsches i have a soft spot for them thats for sure! C4s cab sounds very nice, the leon will scare some very quick cars indeed! i hope to be in a porsche in the next few years when my daughter is older an doesnt need a mountain of stuff to go with her! we could always use my partners car but then that would be boring on a day trip out!!

At risk of going off VW topic, 911 can transport me, my wife, my 1 year old daughter in child seat, with a large "child stuff bag", and a Quinny Zapp buggy in comfort. They are very practical cars for a day out. Don't work for staying away unless destination provides a travel cot for the little one and the wife can survive with limited shoe and makeup supplies .
-
CSMAN- :surprised: wow really! that is great to know! im going to show this to my partner and let her see what you have to say about it!! I did go to look around a few but i didn't get to really try it out for size, i wasn't really ready to purchase at the time due to her arrival! but its good to know! i like to own a car to drive whenever is possible not left at home or for just me to enjoy!
I have been on he phone to AMD this afternoon and booked in for REVO stage 2+ Ben@AMD told me that REVO have the best map out of the two for anything over stage 1, so i had to have it!
And seats should arrive next week if all goes well! xmas has come early!
