Map and miltek, provided you mean the downpipe. that means you can go straight to stage 2. if you do Map and catr back exhaust or map and intake then you will have to go for a stage 1 map.
reference tuners
-REVO dealers are country wide,
-Bluefin can deliver the handsets to your door.
-Shark performance can either map your car at their HQ in mansfield or do it with a handset similar to bluefins.
-APR remaps i think are probably worth negating now, since this last amnesty issue, where tuners have stopped dealing with them for what ever reason.
-GIAC dealers im not to sure where they are, but the maps are alleged to be quite good
-PDT on here does both revo maps and his own maps.
-AMDessex do REVO and their own maps.
-
i would do it this way , depending how far you are going !
intake
exhuast
map
brakes
then onto lowering etc and stage 2
-
Downpipe and map! Stage 2.
-
thanks for the info wot bhp difference in bhp and torc would i get and wots the differance in cat back and downpipe
-
i bought this car and told the wife that i would leave it standard then i came across this forum and want to get loads done allready got car colour coded
-
Car back gives no performance increase only noise! Downpipe removes a cat(or makes the cat less restrictive) meaning the turbo can spool earlier and quicker.bhp + torque wise have a look on the "ultimate dyno thread" you can see what power you can expect. Getting a twintake won't really give you anything with a map so you will only be able to goto stage 1
-
how do you get around the mot with no cat
-
You have 2cats as far as I'm aware, I may be talking rubbish but its how I understand it lol, mines got a full miltek and passed no issues
-
it doesnt decat your exhaust.
the standard exhaust has a Pre -Cat converter right next to the turbo (used for reducing cold engine emissions), then there is the second cat under neath the car. A performance exhaust increases the bore, removes the pre cat altogether, and installs a free flowing 200Cell catalytic converter. As long as you have a 200 Cell cat you will 100% pass the MOT. Pretty much everyone on here is running a 200 cell cat, with only a few going for decats and 100cell cats
