Anybody had a good deal on engine oil in the past couple of weeks?
Or know of any good deals?
Halfrauds are doing 4l of Castrol Edge 5w30 for £36.
But they have their own 504.00 spec now which is 5l for £42?
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_498805_langId_-1_categoryId_165581
I think its 4.6l to change so can anybody point me somewhere for the best deal.
Opie Oils?

I saw on HUKD that Opie are offering Gulf oil at half price.
If buying oil in Halfrauds then the Trade card will offer good savings if you have access to one.
-
Hi Stu, I actually think I may know somebody with a staff card! Just jogged my memory.
Is there a Gulf which is 504?
I still havent got round to getting the Cruise sorted i will try and get a Scan next week! :signLOL:

With a halfords trade card , you wont get any discount on the £36 castrol edge deal :sad1:
-
Exactly its one deal or the other.
I nearly got charged more with the trade card for a set of rachet spanners with a few other things i was getting at the time as the spanners were on offer at public prices which was more of a discount than trade card prices. Im glad i spotted it did not add up right. She had to ring them trough the till seperate.
-
Yep , i was told when i got mine that whatever public deals are on , trade card holders still get a discount so that will still be cheaper

Just for everyone's info, bought castrol EDGE 5w30 longlife oil in asda for £30 for 4L seemed a good deal to me, so bought 2 lots  this was the asda superstore at Fosse Park Leicester.

Never realised Asda stocked engine oil? Must only be the really big SUPER superstores that do.

Tps for me £30 for 5litres of vag stuff and if you are trade, I get mine for £24.
:happy2:
You can just walk in to tps and pay ! It is not a trade only counter.
-
TPS has its uses. I got 20L of longlife III from there the other day for £62 on promo, which was a very reasonable price indeed!
-
What about Quantum Longlife III?
This is what the dealers must have used in the GTI I recently bought (car was serviced a week before I picked it up) as there is an almost empty 1L bottle in the boot.

Thats what I bought :)
