Hi Guys!
Sorry for my ignorance but, is there any difference between the 2? I would like to go for the APR HPFP but, haven't got the money for that at the moment as I've bought other mods. So it would be either of the 2!
Also, where is the best place to buy either of these products?
Cheers :happy2:

Pm PDT he may still have one kicking about plus he has a fitting offer on if you send your pump to him :happy2:
It's the autotech one
-
Not ever used a KMD pump but we sell a lot of autotech pumps.
New stock coming in soon (50) prices to be confirmed.
-
I smell another group buy for everyone
-
Sweet!!
When will they be coming in? Group buy sounds sweet !
-
5 or more makes a group buy, speaking to nathan at autotech soon regarding some expected delivery dates.
-
Just waiting on an email, will then confirm the prices. Last group buy was £250 a pump but in reality its looking closer to £300 this time as we will need them posting from the USA and the higher VAT rate.
-
I'd be interested in the group buy. I'm guessing the Autotech fuel pump is the same for the GTI, ED30 and S3?
-
its the same for every car with the 2.0TFSI (k03 or K04)
-
Cheers! Thought so! :happy2:
-
im running an Autotech HPFP and no problems what so ever
-
Autotech have sold literally 1000's and I only know of 2 that have had problems, neither cases have been proven to have been caused by the pump.
I am waiting for a moderator to move the new 2011 group buy to the appropriate section so keep an eye out in group buy's for info :happy2:
-
id wait for either the loba hpfp or revo one if the APR is out of reach.
-
If it helps I bought muckipup's fuel pump internals from him ( he was the one who had the fuel leak through to the engine oil) and have run them in my 100000 mile fuel pump with no problems so far. They have been in for about 1k so far.

Have you got a Pump remap for the K04 Dave? or have you only got one for the K03?
-
We have been working on our stage 3 for some time now (equivalent of REVO stage 2+) and hoping to get it finished before the end of the month :happy2:
in the mean time Dom I have done some more work on our K04 stage 2 stuff, expecting to do some final testing tomorrow if we get a chance, proving that you can see 350hp without a pump  (admittedly you cant get more than 310 ft/lb though)

I bet theres some non believers out there with that Dave :surprised:
Guess I'd need the Revo DSG to reach and higher bhps though wouldnt I?
-
Yes, DSG map is a must to get those figures.
Making big BHP figures is eay, but you still lack midrange power and torque, good for those number chasers though  its a little pointless as a pump isnt expensive but good to see what can be achieved, all good fun.

Well if I may jump in on the topic as I was on the same wagon a while ago, after some research (and some friend's advice from past experience) it appears that Autotech gets better results than KMD for some reason and also appears to have siginficanlty less cases of pump failure than KMD (almost 0). So between the 2 there is no question what to get if you ask me...
Now having said all this I went all the way and plunged in to the full APR pump just to be on the safe side and frankly I would like to have the option to change back to my stock pump (and resell the APR) if and when I choose to turn the car back to stock or sell it...
I realise and despise the fact that it is very expensive but in my opinion you get what you pay for...

Out of interest how much is the APR one usually? If you don't mind saying of course!

Glad to hear it Martin :happy2:
Still no harm in a bit of caution if you get a remap requestion the full 130bar

Yep that sounds about right... Almost the same over here as well :happy2:

Cheers! :happy2:
I'll probably stick to the KMD/Autotech then!
