You may recognise someone later in the film...
-
It gives a decent quality film that cam, :happy2: Though the perspective from down there is not to great in my opinion, would be great with a split screen, with another from inside the cabin. :happy2:
-
A certain someone in a TTRS??
-
Nice driving TD and that camera is pretty awesome.
-
It'd take some pretty expensive kit to sync multiple cams TC, it would be cool though!
Cheers everyone, it's not bad for a 2.0 N/A although the effects of passenger ballast shows a lot with the lack of torque.
-
sweet vid mike :happy2:
great for showing lines etc
cant remember the last time I saw an X19  thought theyd all gone to the scrapheap in the sky :signLOL:
-
Slow mo done using twixtor?

Great vid Mike. Saw it on the Clio forum. To be honest, you just need some decent software to sync the vids. Final Cut / Pinnacle etc can do PIP.
-
Ahh, still surely need 2 cams though?? All adds up for a bit of an extra dimension.
-
this one of you is much better for camera footage i think.
-
I need to edit that one, wants a few minutes chopping off the end.
1 more up now with Pork fun
-
First one of the day and inside the car, featuring SteveP and Top Cat whilst chasing some Caterhams.
Chasing Alex's 924S mit modification-ness - love this car!

Those bloody Caterhams got me in trouble twice. I had planned to let you past after the exit so pulled over and as i did they slammed on to pull off the track, they only indicated about half a second before heavily braking to pull off.
And i fell for the same trick later on as well.
-
Yes, that was very naughty - seemingly no mirrors or etiquette.
-
Whos in the white mk5? intersting line around lodge
Great videos Mike, i presume those internal ones are attached to the cage?

Topcat
Ahem!
-
Yeah, cage mounted but the light is a little tricky hence the dark bits on certain parts of the circuit.
Last couple.
-
thats not fair!! :P :rolleye:
-
Mike, is there any reason you chose this instead of the Countour HD?
-
Ha, it's ok Joe, I understand why you were pootling - you can try getting your own back with the R next time!
Deako, purely review based. Pretty much every test has the GoPro being superior, there's a 'tube clip from the Gadget Show group test somewhere, that swung it.
-
Great vids Mike! :notworthy:
Looks like your getting used to that little car now! :driver:
-
Nice :happy2:

Ive seen varying reports. It looks like the saturation is good on the GoPro, but the colour richness is way better on the Contour. I think its all down to preference.
The advantage for me would be the size of the Contour HD. Much easier to conceal, at certain other places. ;)
-
Whats the difference between saturation and colour richness? Id say they are one of the same.
-
Both roughly the same size and both have quick release mounts - I guess just choose whichever you prefer?
-
^^^^
Excellent! Surely this thread should be moved to the Trackday section?
Great lines, Mike, and power noticeably on very early through corners :notworthy:
-
RS200.... EPIC!!!!
That is all!
-
Cadwell Rich? Told you they were funny little cars!!
Robin, thanks for the compliments, but analysing the lines I'm a bit wayward in places - most likely from not concentrating due to gabbing to passengers, I didn't get a lap on my own all day!! The car is very flattering though, even on a day like this (very greasy off line, despite being dry), it was easy to drive.
-
Yes, Cadwell mike (photos in the photo section)
Im not easily impressed, but the first time Tom took me out my jaw hit the deck. As a passenger it felt incredible stable and those yoko tyres he's got are like blutack!
All that remains to be said is that hes got far far larger gonads that I have! :scared:
-
LOL - you'd be surprised, it's one of those cars you can jump in and pretty much drive at 95% within a a few hours. Did you not have a go?
The last little bit is down to your gonads, which can easily shrivel again once you get it wrong :ashamed:
-
No, I wouldnt want to drive anyone elses car around a track for obvious reasons. Honestly, I am gobsmacked at how good they are!
-
RS200.... EPIC!!!!
That is all!
nah clio 172 was kicking all your arses :signLOL: with everyone saying that car been supercharged or something :rolleye: guy opens bonnet and says its 100% stock just took all the interior out :signLOL: upset a few people i tell you :driver:
-
The one with just a driver's bucket?? No denying that was rapid - you can't beat physics, it must have weighed the same as a shoe!!
Good on him, I love ratty big toy killers!
-
yeah the silver one it was so funny to watch :driver:
-
It's pretty amazing to see what they can do with nothing more a than few grand's worth of car and some time spent prepping/stripping it. I bet you'd get a chunk of your money back selling the unwanted bits too.

Thats the plan for my 200 in 2 years time.
In the meantime, i desperately want sticky tyres and a new set of track rims. Oh well, too many holidays to pay for this year and saving for a few other things at the moment.
-
I know, I keep looking at buckets - had a good sit in everything at Tweeks the other week and Sparco Evos are insanely comfy, Recaro Pole Positions a close second. I think I could live with them, but the missus would vito the car for good!
I'd thought about the Sabelts out of the race car, but I think the head 'wings' would annoy me and make the already tricky blindspot worse.
-
Me too. Really want to get rid of the interior and fit harnesses too. To be honest, the wife would be fine with it. Even though its our only car. Its just money money money at the moment. If i could guarantee that id have the cash to buy it outright in 2 years, then id strip and sell the remainder of the interior now. Reckon the leather Gordini seats could get more than enough to cover the cost of buckets, frames and harnesses.
-
Your stripping a gordini  you might aswell just bought the 200 plus have you sold it's blue wheels? I hope not if its not your car ie finance

LOL. Read it properly before jumping to conclusions. I said i would like to. Wheels are garbage, and dont make a bit of difference. You could spec black speedlines on the gordini from standard. Except all the ones in the uk all came with the sh*te blue wheels.
When the time comes, it will get the sh*t stripped out of it. The only reason we bought the gordini was because it was in stock and available to have delivered in less than 1 week. Not because we particularly wanted one. We just didnt want to wait for a factory build after VW f*cked us around with a 5 month extra wait on the Polo GTI, when we cancelled our order.
The Gordini also isnt very special really. It juts comes with all the options ticked. Thats it.
Also, Mikes car is on PCP too. Did everyone jump on him shouting about not owning the car when he fitted his rollcage?

We tried to jump on him but banged our heads on the bars. :innocent:
LOL. Read it properly before jumping to conclusions.
And it was only Mat who jumped on you LOL. Read it properly before jumping to conclusion's :P
-
I have more than enough in my savings account to pay off the PCP should they see their arse, which they won't, as I've checked with them and reversible mods are fine. Just in case anyone wondered :happy2:
I will add though, I'm in a very rare position here, I'm not sure I'd do something irreversible if I wasn't.
